So much has been going on since my last post (December 19th).Last few weeks of Christmas at The Body Shop was filled with shoppers in panic mode to finish their shopping list. My parents who I haven’t seen for a year just came over for their annual visit. In addition to all that, I had to organized my trip to America to visit my sister which I am so excited about. So I actually wanted a quiet and civilized New Year’s Eve with no crowd, no booze and no drunken antics. I thought it would be nice to wake up in 2014 with a clear head, ready for the year ahead.
Instead of reviewing 2013, I would like to look ahead to 2014 with anticipation. Let me share a few things I look forward to this year:
1. Louis Vuitton collection by Nicolas Ghesquière
This must be one of the most anticipated show this coming season, with his talent for futuristic silhouette and flair for playing with fabric, Nicolas will no doubt bring freshness and exciting ideas to the iconic luxury house. Let’s hope he will be given freedom to express his aesthetic.
2. Game of Thrones season 4
I was very surprised to find myself getting hooked on Game of Thrones since I only like shows that make me laugh. This show displays a range of human characters that is raw and powerful. I also love it for the beautiful costumes and jewellery.
3. Getting accepted to UTS Design Faculty
If you have a look at my blog on October 29, ‘Denim Works’, I posted some photograph I submitted as part of my application for the Bachelor Degree in Fashion at UTS. I figured it would be good to actually understand fashion in terms of its history and culture. I am particularly excited about working in a studio with my future classmates. So, let’s hope I will get accepted.
